Blitz And France In the early 1990s, while on vacation in Los Angeles, a friend of mine and I bought a 60 minute bootleg audio cassette of the 'Bliss' and 'France' shows (cassette inlay) from a sidewalk vendor. Fearing I would wear the tape out or lose it, I decided to digitize it and burn it onto CD-R, and then thought I'd offer it up on the Web. Rennes, Dalle de la Sité, France, December 20, 1985. The infamous riot gig where an angry Martin attacked the audience with his mike(stand) after they had hit him with a beerglass. He hits them, kicks them and makes 'fuck off' gestures. Shortly after all that, without properly finishing Sex Bomb Boogie, the band had to stop 'cos Martin required stitches at the hospital. Great gig nevertheless, and a great great end of the song musically (well, dub/sound-fx mainly), where Yana, cos of the reactions of the audience, throws in some extra 'violence-related' samples/voice-overs. If I remember well, tony wore his 'jason' mask at this gig. if I don't remember it well, then i'm dead wrong. 'been a while since I watched the clip and I can't be bothered right now. Neither "(Hey Jayne Mansfield) Superstar" or "Teenage Thunder" are on the tape as listed in the inlay card, but instead, a predominantly instrumental version of "Sex Bomb Boogie" -- with loads of Jayne Mansfield samples...it cuts out short -- not my fault, that's how it ends on the cassette.
